Aliaume Damala Badara Akon Thiam o sencillamente Akon, es un cantante, compositor, actor y productor musical estadounidense. Nació en San Luis, Misuri, Estados Unidos el 16 de abril de 1973. Ganó popularidad con el tema "Locked Up", que formó parte de su álbum debut "Trouble". Sin embargo, la canción que lo llevó a ganar fama internacional fue "I Wanna Love You". En esa ocasión, tuvo la colaboración del rapero estadounidense Snoop Dogg. Cantante, compositor, actor y productor musical, toca batería sintetizador y teclado. Un talento descomunal que, por fortuna, no se malogró en los bajos fondos. Niñez, Juventud y Vida Familiar Akon creció en una familia dedicada a la música. Es hijo del percusionista Mor Thiam.
