Conocido como “The Mellow Canary”, debido a su prestigiosa voz, se inició en el dancehall desde muy temprana edad, se consagró en la década del ´80 como uno de los mejores DJs de Jamaica y expandió su fama al Reino Unido y Estados Unidos. Se mantuvo activo y victorioso a lo largo de los ´90 con una larga lista de álbum y hit singles, y todavía sigue en carrera.
